Edo, an era of warriors. There lived an immortal man, the Slayer of Hundreds, ‘Manji.’ He meets Rin, who has sworn vengeance for her parents. Rin’s grudge is against a group of swordmasters – Ittou-ryu. She asks Manji to be her bodyguard on her journey. He refuses, but then sees his late sister in Rin. So began the violent struggle that would bring even the immortal Manji to his knees.

I’ve always been aware of the Manga and later the live movie. I was really excited when I found out amazon was going to have the anime adaptation of it.

Two Years Ago

Olympus OMD-EM10 Mark III Today I received my new camera, the Olympus OM-D EM-10 Mark III. Been wanting to upgrade my camera for a while and after watching a couple of reviews it seemed like an obvious choice. The controls and options are easier to access, making it more user friendly. Not just that but the addition of new technology. So it was a justifiable upgrade coming from the first generation or model. So I went out downtown Boise to snap some pictures, using my Leica 25mm lens. It has been a while since I went out so excited about taking pictures so I had a lot of fun.

One thing that most of us kind of struggle with, it’s our notes-taking or notes-keeping systems. Some prefer apps like Bear, or Drafts, Apple Notes, Evernote, whatever other apps out there.

Most of my notes, if I take any at all, are mostly in Drafts. But it’s usually snippets or little things. Actually most of my “notes” in Drafts are CSS scripts (😅). My main use for Drafts though, is blogging and/or composing. In fact I do very little actual note taking at all. My Notes.app it’s just a repository for links and workout routines. Are those considered notes? Maybe I have the wrong idea what notes are?

I love anime shows (and movies), I’ve been a fan of them since I was a kid! I do remember my first few starting with RUROUNI KENSHIN (or SAMURAI X), I loved this tv show, especially the Leyend of Kyoto story ark. So much so that I have the Boxset. Also another all-time favourite TEKKAMAN BLADE or TECHNOMAN, I remember watching this one until the very end,I have the entire collection for this one. There are other shows for sure but these two are the ones always on top of my head.

Anyhoo, these tv shows can be jam-packed with action, weird characters and extreme violence. Even though I am all too familiar with these facts about Japanese animation, every once in a while I’ll watch something so disturbing that will make me deeply uncomfortable.

This tv show is right up my alley, it’s ridiculous over-the-top fighting — very brutal! They have recently added its second season which made super excited to jump back into it.

Last night thought, there was a particular episode that I had a hard time watching. I feel very uncomfortable around certain subjects or situations, not just in anime but in general. I don’t do well with any type of torture or things of that nature. Anything that renders a human being helpless and unable to do anything about it, I just can’t. Last night was such an episode and oh man did I had a hard time watching!

Still watching it though, the next episode was much less disturbing 😉.

Yesterday my commute back to the house was quite an adventure. instead of the traditional route, I went on a different one. My commute back from work is different from the one in the morning, it’s more country like. However, I went through a different road and it was even more country and a whole different scenery. I have been meaning to start taking pictures of this area, the only problem is that there isn’t enough area to park on the side of the road. Either that or I’m just scared to do so. 😅

Today there is no commute, though. Today I work from home.

I have been asking myself, What did I do wrong? How did I managed to fuck everything up? All I know right now is that I don’t know what I want really and how to fix my life. One step at a time I guess.

This is part of a journal entry I wrote 2-years ago, today. I don’t really want to remember or relieve these feelings, ever again. Yet every now and then they come back to hunt me and they’re frightening.
