Diablo 4 gameplay: Three minutes from BlizzCon 2019 - Polygon

Diablo 4 was introduced at BlizzCon 2019 with a long cinematic establishing the story of this chapter in the action RPG series.

I’m sad that is not coming to the Nintendo Switch at launch tho. In the meantime I’ll be playing Diablo 3 on the switch again!

I was late! This morning was way too weird. I do not remember hearing my alarm go off at all! The only reason I woke up was because I noticed Marley getting in the bed. That was around 7:10 AM, I am usually out off the house at 7:10 am at the latest. On top of that, my way here was out of the normal. In one of the roads I usually transit through, they are doing some utility work but the still kept part of the road opened. Except for today of all days of course! I mean I wasn’t like an hour in too late, it was more like 15 minutes or so. Other than the setbacks, it was a smooth ride to work. No accidents noted this morning.

  • No-drink November

Well, tonight I am sipping my last beer, for a month! (Dun dun duuun!) The lady suggested — I think it was her idea — to do No-drink November. Basically no alcohol, whatsoever, for the entire month of November. And I have accepted the challenge as a way to better myself — to better ourselves. And who knows, I can either hate it and will eagerly wait for December 1st to come, or maybe I’ll end up liking it and change my ways a bit. I don’t know, I thought it was a good challenge. What’s the worse that could happen? Right?

    IN OTHER NEWS:

  • 🔗 I'm an Unprofessional Blogger

    by Chris J Wilson

This blog post resonated with me at so many levels!

About 10 years ago, I wanted to be a professional blogger. Now I’m happy to be an unprofessional blogger.

Not 10 years for me, my first published post was back in 2016, so 3 years now or so. I have written about this before, at first I wanted, probably not a full-on Pro-blog but maybe a semi-pro blog, probably because that was all I was reading at the time. I was reading “professional” blogs, some serious writing, so that created the standard for me. Little did I know that blogging goes beyond just that. Maybe it was something to do with having Facebook at the time. Facebook was my blogging platform, if you will, and of course it was very informal. Thus, in my mind, if you were to have your own site for your blog it had to be pro or semi-pro at least.

As an unprofessional blogger I can - write about what I want, when I want - not write when I don’t want to (and not apologies!)

A hundred times this !! When I write on my own “unprofessional blog”, I can write about whatever I want, no topics, no formalities, no rules and/or standards. I am simply thinking out loud, typing it and publishing it!

  • 🍿 Ghost in the Shell (25th Anniversary Edition.

Ghost In the Shell (25th Anniversary Edition)

In the year 2029, the world has become interconnected by a vast electronic network that permeates every aspect of life. That same network also becomes a battlefield for Tokyo’s Section Nine security force, which has been charged with apprehending the master hacker known only as the Puppet Master. Spearheading the investigation is Major Motoko Kusanagi, who - like many in her department - is a cyborg officer, far more powerful than her human appearance would suggest. And yet as the Puppet Master, who is even capable of hacking human minds, leaves a trail of victims robbed of their memories. Motoko begins to ponder the very nature of her existence: is she purely an artificial construct, or is there more? What, exactly, is the “ghost” - her essence - in her cybernetic “shell”?

  • No time for Comics.

Back in… 2011? When DC rebooted the entire universe and created the New 52, is when I got back into comics. Since everything started over I thought it was the perfect opportunity to jump back in. I was reading pretty consistently and keeping up with almost every series. Mainly Batman, I became a huge fan of the Capullo/Snyder Batman run.

(Side story: that year we went to Puerto Rico for vacationing I remember looking at my twitter and find it out that PR was gonna have their first ComicCon and that Greg Capullo was going to be there. So I took one of my Batman issues with me, went there and Greg Capullo signed it. I even took a picture with him and that picture… I don’t know what happened to it. Probably in one of my old Instagram accounts or somewhere else.)

So! Comics! I was reading pretty much consistently many series and what not. Not just DC, I got very heavily into Image stuff like SAGA, Glory (most likely my first Image series I got into) and East of West  among others (like Rasputin — so good).

I have fell so behind in the past year! I miss reading comics and enjoying the good art. I miss a good Superman story, I want to keep reading SAGA, East of West and some of the new Image stuff that’s out or about to come out. The thing is, I feel like I have no time for it. There so many things I want to do when I have some free time that I don’t know what to do when I get that time! There are games I want to play, books I want to read (or listen) and many comics I want to read. I am subscribed to Comixology Unlimited  (I think I still am) and I feel like it’s wasted money at this point. At first I subscribed because I wanted to start reading Hellboy and Sandman which I haven’t start reading either of the two . I want to keep reading Thor, X-Men House of X…. So many books! So little time? Or effort?

  • Working from home.

Tomorrow is going to be the first time in my new job that I will be working from home. This is one of the nice things about the place I’m currently working at, they are very flexible and very family oriented. I need to take care of the girls, hence the reason why I am staying home. I have never done this before so I don’t know how working from home with two kiddos looks like. I have experience a similar scenario before when I was unemployed, I was on my computer all day job hunting but at the time it was * just* Marley. Now, I have a Luna, so we will see how this goes.

  • An Instalurker?

I’m in this dilema (again) about Instagram. A while ago I had deleted my account. I got tired of the algorithms, the way this service it’s ran by its mother company Facebook among other reasons. Until one day I started having “Instagram-withdrawals” in someway. I started missing to see the pictures of some friends and family and also there are some “internet celebrities” that I was missing seen their posts about. Or my favorite photographers’s posts like Travis Jensen, for example. So I opened a new account, started following my friends and family and internet celebrities and my excuse was “this is the less Facebooky way to do it”. Well, it’s been good all this time until recently. The same reasons I left the service awhile ago, are coming back to hunt me (😅). I’m annoyed at the algorithm, at the company’s policies and of course the fact that it’s Facebook owned.

So here’s my thing this time around though. Last time I just closed the account — boom, done! Now I’m thinking, maybe I should keep it open but just to browse/lurk around and not post anything there — not giving them any of my data. Just be an Instalurker not a participant. Would that make a difference? Shall I just close it? I don’t know.

  • 🍿 DREDD.

    Dredd

In the future, America is a dystopian wasteland. The latest scourge is Ma-Ma, a prostitute-turned-drug pusher with a dangerous new drug and aims to take over the city. The only possibility of stopping her is an elite group of urban police called Judges, who combine the duties of judge, jury and executioner to deliver a brutal brand of swift justice. But even the top-ranking Judge, Dredd (Karl Urban), discovers that taking down Ma-Ma isn’t as easy as it seems in this explosive adaptation of the hugely popular comic series.

One of my favourite movies of all time.

  • On iOS 13.

I am never, usually, the one to complain about iOS issues and bugs. Especially when I’m most of the time running beta software. But man! I can’t really tell, this time around, if there’s any difference in stability between the betas and the official releases of iOS 13! I guess I will finally admit it — it’s bad! This is bad.
